Protec-Ear SA hearing protectors do not require calibrations, adjustment or special care after the initial fitting. They are low maintenance, easy to fit and comfortable to wear after initial instruction and carry a 1 year guarantee against manufacturing defects.
Protec-Ear SA hearing protectors can be fitted with different filters to provide less attenuation (sound damping) and higher speech audibility. Attenuation results are available – tests on the filters were done in Europe according to EN 13819-2 and EN 24869-1.
Filters are presision manufactured out of Stainless steel and the holes drilled by laser beams to ensure correct and constant diameters.
Many users report that the filtered hearing protectors provide more comfort due to less occlusion (blocked-up feeling) and enough attenuation in noisy situations.
How loud is too loud?
Research has shown that continued exposure to noise above 85 decibel (dB) over time, will cause hearing loss. Not only is the level of noise a factor, but also the length of time of exposure to the noise.
The following table shows some typical noise levels of noise sources around us. You might be surprised at some of the harmful noise levels!
